Loughborough Technology Centre is situated on a prominent site on the Epinal Way Ring Road, on the edge of Loughborough University and College Campus'.
![]() The original Centre was constructed in 1984 and has proved highly successful in attracting and accommodating high-tech companies to Loughborough. It currently houses 24 firms, some of which have international links.
The Centre has established itself over the years as a location for emerging companies in the High Technology Research and Development field. Owned and managed by Leicestershire County Council it provides a focal point for converting ideas generated from research into commercial reality.
The County Council and Loughborough University have worked in close co-operation to provide business support and enable tenants to benefit from the expertise and specialist equipment located on campus. All tenants have access to the University's computer system, Internet and E-mail facilities via a fibre optic Broadband link as well as access to the University library. As a result of this success the County Council completed a £1.6m scheme to provide additional facilities for new and growing companies. This comprises five new suites creating an additional 1,130 m2 (12,160 sq. ft) of lettable floor space.
