Arts in the Community

Leicestershire County Council can provide advice, support, funding, training and information for individuals, communities, groups and arts organisations throughout the County. We support and encourage all areas of the arts through our team of specialist officers and by working in partnership with local venues and creative organisations. We hope to help develop the arts and to maximize the role they play in Leicestershire's social, community and economic life.

The Arts Development team at Leicestershire County Council supports arts activity by creating opportunities for artists to develop businesses and practice and providing access to professional performing arts and cinema in rural settings, support and funding for festivals, events and other arts activities with communities in the County. Arts in Education is the Arts Service for the Children and Young People's Services in the county of Leicestershire and city of Leicester providing learning opportunities in music, dance and drama. Find out more about Arts in Education.
