Conservation in the County

Biodiversity Action Plans (BAP's) are a way of conserving plants and animals.
The Environmental Resources Centre of Leicestershire provides a comprehensive wildlife information service to all users within the region.
Records held at Holly Hayes Environment and Heritage Resources Centre are also submitted to the National Biodiversity Network's website, the NBN Gateway.  These are then available for any groups nationally to download and use.
The Leicestershire County Council Nature Conservation Forum  meetings provide nature conservation, wildlife and environmental groups a chance to meet and hear about the latest news about conservation related policies, local projects and the work of agencies.

Produced by the Community Heritage Initiative, which was supported by the Herirage Lottery Fund and Rutland County Council
