The Wild About… pack has guidance on how to make field survey equipment for nature studies, start nature diaries and a number of themed wildlife detective investigations including: Birds; Trees; Spiders; Woodlice; Butterflies; Bats; Ladybirds; Frogs; Hares and Rabbits; Grasslands; and Plants. The pack suggests recording and celebrating wildlife creatively, such as in poetry, and encourages families to send in records to the Holly Hayes Environment and Heritage Resources Centre. Each investigation also has actions that can be taken at home to encourage and safeguard wildlife.
