Sapcote Library and Sapcote Heritage Group

Sapcote Library has fostered a strong link with the village Heritage Group who now have several items on permanent display in the library.

The items include copies of the following:

Approximately 200 A4 size pictures of Sapcote people and places of the past 100 years
Sapcote census returns from 1841 to 1901
Sapcote Methodist Baptism records 1807 to 1994
Sapcote School admittance register for the period 1930 to 1978 the wartime period shows where evacuees were repatriated to.
A continuous PowerPoint presention of 210 pictures showing the village past and present.
Various booklets containing memories of the village and village life.
A display of heritge group photographs featuring one particular area or aspect of village life. This is changed once a month.
Pictures showing the 312 species found on the Sapcote Parish 2006 Flora Survey.
Set of microfiche covering the Sapcote Parish Records. These include Baptisms 1564-1971, Marriages 1579-July 2000 and Burials 1579-Dec 1918
