Ramp at front of building and the main part of the library is on one level, with a ramp or steps up to the children's area. The local studies library is on another floor and is only accessible by stairs. The library has wide aisles and disabled parking space is available in the nearby town car park.
Loughborough is the main library in Charnwood and Karen Williamson, the Acting Library Manager, is based here. Larger Collections can be found in Leicester and Nottingham.

Chatterbooks Reading Group for 8 - 12 year olds. Meets first Tuesday of the month, 3.45 - 5.00pm. Please contact the library for details.
Focus on Sport. Join us in a celebration of sport and reading on Thursday 7th August.
10am - 12 noon: Meet the players. Sporting professionals, including ex-England basketball player Natalia Marshall, and representatives from local sports clubs will be in the library to talk to families about sport. 10.30 - 11.15: Read the Game. Action stories and poems for 5 to 12 year olds and their families. 2 - 2.30: Toddler Aerobics. Action rhymes and stories for the under fives and their grown-ups. Bring a teddy or soft toy. Big brothers and sisters welcome. The library also has information and books on sport, sports personalities, events and local clubs and facilities. All the activities are free and drop-in - just come along on the day! Free Health Checks. Active Together Charnwood is offering free health checks at the library on Weds 13th August, 10am - 4pm. Done by qualified fitness instructors, checks consist of: blood pressure and body composition: basal metabolic rate, muscle mass, total body water %, body fat %. Ladies - please do not wear tights! Just drop in, although a booking sheet will be used on the day if it gets busy.
Coffee and Chat. 14th August, 10.30am - 12 noon. Drop in for coffee and pick up some ideas about what to read next. Free.
