Books on WheelsIf you live in Leicestershire and are unable to leave your home or to visit your library, we can help. If you know of someone needing some help please contact your local library or use our online form to enquire about the Books on Wheels Service.
Like reading, but cannot get to the library?Library volunteers deliver books, CDs and DVDs (special interest only), talking books to to your home on a regular basis. Friends or relatives can collect books and other items on your behalf. These services are free to people unable to get to the library.
Like reading, but live in a retirement home?![]() LINK Mobile is a door to door service to residential homes. Ask your warden or centre manager to see if the link mobile service already visits. If not, please ask them to contact the library staff.
If we cannot call we may be able to leave a collection of books, or a volunteer may be able to deliver a suitable selection of books and sound recordings.
Do you have trouble with small print?![]() We have a good selection of books in large print for people who find ordinary print too small.
We also stock a collection of talking books - often read by famous actors and celebrities, and in many languages. These tapes are playable on most cassette players.
![]() Volunteers are vital to deliver this service. If you are able to help in providing this service by becoming a volunteer please contact us or use our online form to enquire.
