![]() Join us in celebrating all kinds of reading in all kinds of places and be a part of the National Year of Reading.
We want as many people as possible to participate - celebrate reading for pleasure, getting that feel-good factor, being positive about reading, making people smile.
From April to December each month of the year has a different theme - see the themes here or ask at your local library.
National Year of ReadingAugust As Olympic fever hits the country now may be the time to dig deeper into the history of the Olympic Games, read up on your favourite sports or be inspired by the stories of our successful sportsmen and women. Or you may prefer to escape the fuss entirely with a gripping read that has absolutely nothing to do with sport. Which ever you prefer visit your local library to stock up on sporting facts or fabulous fiction.
