Lynda Page in Leicestershire LibrariesEvery library authority in the country has been partnered with an author for the National Year of Reading. In Leicestershire we are proud to be joined by local author Lynda Page. Lynda is a bestselling author who writes sagas based in Leicester and will be visiting libraries throughout the rest of the year.
![]() BiographyBorn and raised in Leicester, Lynda is the eldest of four sisters. In 1967, at the age of seventeen, she left home and has held down a variety of office jobs. In 1974 she moved with her new husband to Aberdeen where she raised two children whilst still continuing her career in office work. In 1985 the family moved back to Leicester, and in 1987 Lynda, though never having any aspirations previously to become a writer, out of the blue, began writing her first novel during her 45 minute lunch hours at work. The book took 18 months to complete and was snapped up by the leading publishers Headline and she has been under contract to them ever since. Now divorced, a proud grandmother and a full time writer, Lynda lives in a village in Leicestershire.
If you would like to read any of Lynda's books just ask at your local library.
