Sari competition
RCKC LogoThe British Sari Story
Friday 3 October to Sunday 30 November
An exhibition celebrating the sari - the wonderful garment worn by South Asian women everywhere. The pattern, design and fabric of saris speak volumes about the women who wear them. This exhibition presents traditional saris from around South Asia and new saris with 21st century designs, including the winning entries from the British Sari Story competition. This national contest sought out new patterns that reflect the vibrancy of British Asian life today. The winning designs from the British Bridal Sari competition will also be on display.
