The museum has displays showing the arguments for and against hunting, as well as the history of hunting in the region. Stilton Cheese and Pork Pies from Melton Mowbray are famous all around the world. Explore the history of these trades and others including saddlery, shoemaking and tinsmithing and the impact they had on the town. Other interests include; Archaeology, Archives, Decorative and Applied Art, Fine Art, Natural Sciences, Sports, Personalities and Social History
The Ann Hughes Gallery houses temporary exhibitions, showing unique displays related to the history of the region.
Events are all year round with various new permanent exhibitions, a virtual tour and interactive displays.
Opening Times: Melton Carnegie Museum is open 7 days a week from 10am-4:30pm.
The museum is available in the evenings for groups by special arrangement
