Leicestershire's Open Museum is a 'museum without walls' that can deliver museum collections and displays to your communities and your venues. The Open Museum Operates 3 loans schemes and also facilitates community projects. We always try and tailor our services as closely as possible to our many users

A collection of over 900 original works of art including paintings, original prints, drawings, sculptures, textiles and photographs.

Heritage East Midlands - a Sense of Place (HEMSoP)
A chance to explore the Resource Box collection online and discover more about the themes and issues behind some of the Moving Objects displays.
HEMSoP is a consortium between Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Northamstonshire County Councils and its website is sponsored by the Big Lottery Fund.
Who can use the Open Museum?
Regular users of the Open Museum include Leicestershire schools, colleges, libraries, youth, local history and heritage groups, community and special interest groups as well as a range of local organisations who provide lifelong learning opportunities and activities that can benefit from the use of historic objects, art and displays. If your type of organisation isn’t mentioned, don’t worry, as long as you operate in Leicestershire we will do our best to help.
