Strategic Intents
By February 2008 we will:
- Have formed the Barkestone Educational Trust for Belvoir high School
By September 2008 we will:
- Have admitted the first Year 10 students to Belvoir High School, and Year 6 pupils to the Vale primary schools
By Spring 2009 we will:
- Have established a legal framework for joint governance of the new Post 16 Centre
By Summer 2009 we will:
- Have completed building works for Belvoir High School and Long Field High
By September 2009 we will:
- Have an effective Partnership Board in place
- Have admitted the first year 10 students at John Ferneley and Long Field High Schools
- Completed the first stage of new build for Brooksby Melton College (Brooksby Campus)
- Have secured curriculum entitlement
- Have started to raise achievement and attainment by;
- Increasing achievement at KS3 (Key Stage) level 5 and above in English/maths/science to 80%
- Increasing achievement 5A* - C (including English/maths) level 2 to 50%
- Increasing the aps (average point score) at Post 16 to 750
- Increasing level 2 achievement for 19 year olds to 70%
- Reducing NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) to 4%
- Improving attendance to 94.5%
- Meeting objectives for the Foundation Learning Tier to include SEN/LLDD (Special Educational Needs/Learners with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities)
- Have in place effective arrangements for monitoring and evaluation
- Have an effective VLE and MIS in place
By Summer 2010 we will:
- Have completed building works for John Ferneley, King Edward VII, the Post 16 Centre, and Brooksby Melton College (Melton Campus)
By September 2011 we will:
- Have admitted the first students to the Post 16 Centre directly from the 11-16 schools
- Have raised achievement and attainment by;
-Increasing achievement at KS3 at level 5 and above in English/maths/science to 85%
-Increasing achievement 5A* - C (including English/maths) level 2 to 60%
-Increasing the aps at Post 16 to 800
-Increasing level 2 attainment for 19 years olds to 75%
-Improving attendance to 95%
-Reducing NEET to 2.5%
By September 2013 we will:
- Have raised achievement and attainment by;
- Increasing achievement at KS3 at level 5 and above in English/maths/science to 90%
- Increasing achievement 5A* - C (including English/maths) level 2 to 65%
- Increasing the aps at Post 16 to 850
- Increasing level 2 attainment for 19 years olds to 80%
- Improving attendance to 96%
- Reducing NEET to1%
