Vision Support Service

In-service training courses on the following subjects are organised centrally at Rothley House on an annual basis

The visually impaired child in early years provision and at the foundation stage.
The visually impaired child at KS1
The visually impaired child at KS2
The visually impaired pupil at KS3/4
Meeting the needs of a multiply disabled child.

School staff receive advice and guidance on the specific needs of an individual child with a visual impairment during

Training for parents, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, early years teachers etc., usually takes place during home visits.
