The LEAMIS TeamFormed in 1989 and now housed on the ground floor of County Hall, the LEAMIS team was established to support the use of management information systems. The LEAMIS team continues to provide training and support for the SIMS suite of school based modules. This includes advising on the application of the software and the data it contains to support the management of whole school effectiveness, for example, attainment, attendance, finance, behaviour, timetabling as well as enabling schools to meet their statutory requirements for OFSTED and DCSF. The team also support the use of Microsoft office products.
The LEAMIS team is fully traded and supports 286 Leicestershire schools, a small number of schools from neighbouring counties and a further 18 Rutland schools who buy into our services.

The LEAMIS team has two dedicated training rooms at County Hall with seven machines in each. LEAMIS offers training courses to schools in all SIMS modules and training in Microsoft applications to schools and other County Council services. Courses can be tailored to suit the needs of varied groups of trainees. The team also run a dedicated full time telephone helpdesk to support all users who have been trained in using SIMS or Office applications.
