Welcome to School Improvement and Performance Service -
Making Good Progress Homepage

The Making Good Progress Pilot is running in 47 Leicestershire schools.  Download full list of participating schools.  The pilot will run until July 2009.
The 5 elements of the pilot are:
  • Rigorous Teacher Assessment
  • Single level tests
  • 1:1 tuition for certain specified pupils whose progress gives cause for concern
  • Setting of progression targets (percentage of pupils making 2 levels progress)
  • A progression premium available for schools who improve the number of pupils making 2 levels progress (who started the key stage below national expectations).
