Guidance for Visitors

Walks

A Programme of Guided Walks is regularly organised by Leicestershire County Council's Country Parks Service. A number of these walks are held at Beacon Hill covering topics relating to the history, wildlife and ongoing management of the Country Park.  For more information see the 'What's On' boards in the car parks, email beacon@leics.gov.uk or call 01509 890 048.

Barbecues

  • Barbecue stands are available at anytime located near the Lower Car Park.
  • Visitors are welcome to bring disposable barbecues to be used with these stands.
  • Please dispose of all rubbish and ash/charcoal in the bins provided.
  • Barbecues are only permitted in these areas.

Protecting the Countryside

Whatever your interests, please help to protect the area and safeguard the enjoyment of others by respecting the bylaws. In particular, please:-
  • Guard against the risk of fire. Barbecues are only permitted in designaterd areas.
  • Keep dogs under control at all times.
  • Place litter in the bins provided.
  • Leave flowers for everyone to enjoy.
  • Refrain from riding bikes on the Country Park.
  • The use of metal detectors is not permitted.
