Burton Overy Parish Walks

About Burton Overy

Where is Burton Overy? Burton Overy is located seven miles south-east of Leicester.
Its north-eastern boundary runs alongside the Gartree Road, a Roman road which ran from Leicester to Medbourne, and ultimately to Colchester. It is not now passable along its entire length, but some parts are still in use. When passing through pasture land on these routes, look out for the pattern of ridge and furrow, remnants of open field cultivation.
Traveline which allows users to search by postcode and places of interest.  There are other features including detailed maps of the journey, walking distances and public transport timetable downloads.
The same information is also available everyday on 0871 200 22 33 7am - 9pm.  For the next bus departures from any bus stop or postcode visit Traveline East Midlands online.
