The National Forest Wood Fair 2008

Bank Holiday Monday 25 August

Beacon Hill Country Park, Leicestershire. 10.00am - 5.00pm

This is the 4th National Forest Wood Fair and it just gets better every year.
Something for all the family
Don’t miss the live demonstrations of woodworking skills, fascinating craft displays and activitiesand chain saw sculptures.
There’s plenty for the children to do listen to stories from the Green Man, see the birds of prey, climb a tree.
Find out more about woodlands from tree planting to felling.
Talk to the experts, watch forestry activities including the processing of timber and horse logging.
Take a break in the Food Area selling tasty locally produced food.

How to find Beacon Hill
The Country Park lies 3 miles south of Loughborough and is within 5 minute drive of Junctions 22 and 23 of the M1 motorway.
  • From J22  follow the A511 and B 591  
  • From J 23 follow the A512 and the B591
The event takes place at the Upper Beacon Car Park.
