Location

Ashby Road, Oakthorpe, North West Leicestershire

Description

A six-hectare former colliery site in The National Forest which has areas of naturally-regenerated woodland, as well as planting with new native woodland. There are open grass areas, managed for wild flowers, and surfaced paths, which are suitable for all users.
There is access to the 40-hectare Willesley Wood managed by the Woodland Trust.
