Membership

There are currently vacancies for members.
Members must be able to show that they can:
  • be representative of users of the new rights of access and or users of local rights of way
  • owners and occupiers of access land or land crossed by local rights of way, or other related interests especially relevant to the County of Leicestershire.
  • represent a field of interest rather than particular organisations of which they might also be a member.
  • publicise the Forum's work and obtain feedback from others with similar interests including the Member's own organisation(s).
  • be expected to attend all meetings of the Forum.
  • be willing to serve on the Forum for a period of up to three years.
  • allow a photograph, brief biography to be made available to members of the public and other interested parties on publicity including the Forum website.

Leicestershire has a network of more than 3000 kms of definitive paths. There are also permissive paths, Country Parks and other opportunities to walk cycle and ride. All of this needs to be managed and promoted.
