Recorded in the Doomsday Book as “Ules Torp (Oles Village), Ullesthorpe is situated on the old turnpike road between Lutterworth and Hinckley.  Toll houses can still be seen either side of the village.  This turnpike road was the main road from London to Chester as parts of the Watling Street (A5) were mud tracks until early in this century.
P is most convenient in Mill Road, Ullesthorpe and near the church, Claybrooke Parva.
There are 3 walks in the Ullesthorpe area: 2.5, 3.75, and 4.
