Charnwood Borough Council
Charnwood Borough Council is involved with a number of environmental iniatives and as such have produced a Climate Change Strategy, signed the Nottingham Declaration on Climate Change and is working towards ISO 14001 accreditation, an internationally recognised Environmental Managment System to assist the authority to work in an environmentally friendly manner.

Leicestershire and Rutland Federation of Women's Institutes
The largest voluntary organisation for women campainging on issues such as debt relief, sustainable development and climate change. There are currently 156 institutes in Leicestershire and Rutland always seeking new members.

Provides general advice on energy efficiency and how to reduce energy bills including a free home energy check for all householders.

British Trust for Conservation Volunteers
National conservation volunteer organisation with Leicestershire branch based in Leicester. Run practical conservation tasks on various nature reserves throughout the County and are always seeking new members of the public to join in the fun.

East Midlands Bioenergy Group
The Bioenergy Group is an informal partnership of organisations from the private, public and not-for-profit sectors within the region collectively seeking ways to increase the use of locally grown biomass for the creation of heat and energy.  We aim to support fuel suppliers, boiler manufacturers, installers and end users in developing, promoting and installation of biomass systems within the east midlands.

(Formerly English Nature) National body responsible for protecting and enhancing biodiversity throughout the country.

Leicestershire based renewable energy specialists offering advice regarding all aspects of renewable energy. The premises are unconnected to the national grid, powered purely by energy generated on site including photovoltaic cells, a wind turbine and hydrogen. Tours of the premises are available.
