Historic Environment Record (HER)
This report, produced from the County Council's Historic Environment Record (HER), contains various details that may be of use. The top section contains a code prefixed 'MLE', which is a unique identification code (use of this code will enable any information gathered as part of the war memorials project to be more easily integrated with existing HER records). It also has a brief summary relating to the war memorial. The second section ('Monument Types and Dates') shows how we have classified the memorial (i.e. as a 'war memorial') and the date we have recorded for its construction. The third section ('Description and Sources') contains a longer description, usually consisting of the English Heritage listed building information. The fourth section may also be of use since it has a six figure OS map reference and the parish the memorial lies within.
