Permit to Tip Household WasteLong Term Permit to TipYou will need to complete this form if you intend to use a Leicestershire County Council Household Waste Site with any sort of van, or a trailer over 4’-6” in length (from the front board to the back board).
This scheme is for regular users of vans or trailers. If you borrow or hire a vehicle you will need a short-term permit. Please telephone 0116 305 0001.
Please ensure you fully read all the terms and conditions before submitting your form. In particular, you will be committing an offence if you try to dispose of any form of trade or commercial waste at these sites. This permit does not allow for the disposal of any type of construction and demolition waste.
We have written to all Long term Permit holders to advise that permits are due for renewal by the 31st October 2008. If you wish to renew your current permit and your details have not changed, please tick the box on the front of the permit, sign and return to : Customer Service Centre (HTWM), Leicestershire County Council, County Hall, Glenfield, LE3 8ST.
If any details have changed, please mark the changes on the permit, sign and return it to us.
You can also renew your permit below. Please ensure that you complete all fields, including any changes to your address or vehicle registration number.
Please be aware that after your permit expires, you will not be allowed to use the site until you have received your new permit. We would therefore suggest that you complete your application as soon as possible.''

Construction and demolition wasteThe legal definition of household waste does not cover construction and demolition waste, even if it comes from your own home.
Construction and demolition waste includes;
Small amounts (six black binliners per six months) may be taken in a car providing that it has come from your own home.
Items that were previously fitted to the property are limited to four items per 6 months for each category (i.e. 4 x doors, 4 x windows, 4 x radiators, 4 x fitted units). Bathroom suites and fitted kitchens are limited to one of each per 6 months.
