Emergency Management - The Council's Emergency Management Section plans for all types of emergencies, enabling the Council to respond effectively and in a way that is fully integrated with the response procedures of the emergency services, other local authorities and other partner agencies, as part of the Local Resilience Forum.  The Emergency Management Section can be contacted on 0116 305 6101.

Police - In an emergency - for example when life is in danger or a crime is being committed - dial 999.
In a non emergency, not requiring police attendance, there is one telephone number for the whole of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland - 0116 222 2222.
