Up Time Availability - Percentage of time that the website has
been available to view on the Internet.
Leicestershire County Council aims to ensure that this website is available 97.5%
of the time.
The website is checked and the responses are recorded about 1,500 times a month.
Currently checks on our website are carried out every 15 minutes and if it does not respond in 15 seconds
this is classed as an error, at this time a second check is carried out and if this check also shows
an error the check is concluded as 'verified' and this is reported as downtime. Any amount less than
100% indicates that the website had some downtime.
To find out more about our accessibility aims and objectives and how we are making
this site more accessible, visit the Accessibility pages.
We conduct an online survey of website usage. This is used to gauge our service,
collect demographic information and other information that we may find useful to help us improve the
service provided by the website.
The
survey is offered to 1 in 5 browsers of the website. The survey method deposits a cookie on visitors'
computers. The cookie is used to count the total number of unique visitors who are accessing the website
over a particular period of time and to identify web visitors who have already been offered the survey
so that they are not prompted to participate a second time within any three month period.
We
use the results of this survey and feedback from our website to make improvements
to benefit all users. Some of the most recent changes we have made include:
- A to Z entries have been updated to reflect feedback received
- Updated the School holiday events pages to reflect what is happening in Leicestershire
- Hunting Diaries for Melton Carnegie Museum have been added to our website
This
survey is optional and we may share non-personal, aggregated information with third parties. For more
information you may refer to the Leicestershire County Council Privacy Statement.
The survey is provided by SOCITM (Society of Information Technology Management) and ROL (Rutland On
Line).
