Local bus and train services

Introduction

The County Council financially supports 135 local bus services operated on their behalf by various operators across the county and the Ivanhoe train service operated by Central Trains between Loughborough and Leicester via Barrow upon Soar, Sileby and Syston. In addition to these there are 41 accessible minibus services and 9 social car schemes, altogether carrying over 3 million passengers a year between them.
On these web pages you will find details of these services along with those operated commercially by various operators. There is also information relating to the authority's ever expanding range of publications, including timetables, bus map and guide, town centre displays and planned local booklets. We also have reimbursement information for Public Transport Operators.
The latest information for all your travelling needs may be obtained from Traveline, telephone 0871 200 22 33 (National rate) or from the website www.traveline.org.uk.
