With the exception of Part 4, all parts of 'Highway Requirements for Development' (HRfD) are now superseded by 'Highways, transportation and development' (Htd).

HRfD Part 4, Parking Standards, is retained for the time being to provide for developments below the thresholds given in Table DG11 of Htd. The standards given in Part 4 are the normal maximum.

With the exception of HRfD Part 4, where applicable, developments should be designed taking in to account the guidance in Htd. The remaining Parts of HRfD are no longer applicable and are retained here as a purely historical archive.
