Route Study - Reducing the Impact of Traffic


Background

Concerns regarding traffic speeding on approaches to the villages.  Measures required to remind drivers of the need to slow down.

The Proposals

  • Extend existing speed limit boundaries.
  • New speed limit / village boundary signing.
  • New road markings.
  • Vehicle Activated Signs

Scheme Objectives

To acheive slower vehicle speeds on village approaches.

The consultation period for comments on these proposals expired on 22nd August 2008.

What happens next?

The success of these proposals is dependant on the support of the local community and comments received during the consultation period will help elected members to decide how the scheme should progress.  The final outcome of the consultations will be posted on this website.and confirmed to the respective Parish Councils.
