Some of the roads in Leicestershire form part of the trunk roads network, and are managed by the Highways Agency, not Leicestershire County Council.  Highway Improvements on trunk roads, including the M1 and M69 motorways, the A46, the A42 and the A5 are the responsibility of the Highways Agency.
