Leicestershire Local Transport Plan

The Local Transport Plan (LTP) sets out our transport strategy for Leicestershire, which is based on a thorough review of transport needs, and details a five-year implementation programme.

In March 2006 we published our second LTP for 2006/07 - 2010/11. This superseded the first LTP, which ran from 2001/02 - 2005/06.

The Leicester and Leicestershire annual Local Transport Day is now in its eleventh year and plays a vital role in moving the local transport agenda forward by providing the opportunity for transport professionals and stakeholders to come together to discuss key issues.

This year’s event, held at Leicester Tigers Rugby Ground on 01 July provided those involved with the opportunity to look back over progress made during the first half of the current Local Transport Plan (2006-2011) and to look forward to challenges and opportunities during the remainder of the Local Transport Plan period.

In July 2006 we produced a Delivery Report on our Local Transport Plan delivery over the whole of the first LTP period from 2001/02 to 2005/06.

Each year during the period covered by the first LTP we produced a progress report (APR) showing  the progess we made against the transport performance indicators in the LTP.
