Exemption from Charges for Housing Related Support
People are exempt from housing related support services if:
- The service they receive is a temporary one - the organisation that provides the service will know whether this applies to the services they deliver
- The person who receives the service receives Housing Benefit and the Council is informed of this
If you are not automatically exempt we will carry out a financial assessment to work out if you need to contribute to the cost of your support, and if so, how much.
You should inform the Council if you start or stop receiving Housing Benefit by contacting the Council’s Fairer Charging Team
