Help and support for people with Learning Disability

We offer support to people with learning disabilities in Leicestershire (and their families and carers) in getting the right help and services.  When you contact us, we help you to decide if you need an Assessment. An assessment helps us to see what help you need.
               Some of the things we can do to help are:
a person is hurting another but this has been crossed out
help you with Keeping safe.
a social worker and a health worker
tell you about other people or services that can help you, including Our Partners.
a person is speaking
help you to Speak up.
some money
make sure you are getting the right money and benefits, and give you advice about looking after your money.
a bus and a taxi
help you with Travel or transport.

help you, your family and carers at home with things like:
  • shopping
  • cooking
  • getting up and getting ready to go out
a man working at his desk
support you in finding things to do during the day like:
  • getting a job
  • doing voluntary work
  • going to college
  • joining in community activities
a house stands out from 4 other houses in a street
support you to decide where you want to live.
This might be:
  • living in your own home with some help
  • living with other people who have a learning disability
  • living with another family
a person is standing away from their family
give you and your carers a break from each other.
