Time to Change (T2C)T2C is a group of looked after young people who meet together every week. They aim to help improve the care system for children and young people in Leicestershire.
Project WorkThe group comes up with a work programme every year as part of its Annual Report. Some of the projects the group has completed are:
ResidentialsOnce a year, T2C go on a weekend’s residential trip. This allows the group to tackle some bigger pieces of work that are difficult to fit into their weekly meetings. It also allows the group to have some fun time together and to recognise and reward the work they put in
NewslettersThe Corporate Parenting Team produces a Newsletter for all looked after children and young people in Leicestershire every term. T2C are involved in, suggesting articles and writing articles.
Joining T2CAny young person aged over 11 is able to join T2C and most of the time, they are looking for new members. If you, or someone you know is interested in joining the group, you need to contact the Corporate Parenting Project Worker on 0116 305 7535. The officer will contact the young person, social worker and carers and decide whether the group is right for a young person.
