Who we areWe are part of Leicestershire County Council. As well as Social Care Services, the County Council is responsible for Education, Highways, Waste Management and Community Services like Libraries, Museums and Trading Standards.
We are not the Benefits Agency or the Department for Work and Pensions.
Who do we help?Some people will come to see us for support or care (or both) during a crisis. Other people may need help and support because of their age, long-term ill health or disability, or because they are caring for others.
We also have a legal duty to protect people, including children and young people, from harm, neglect or abuse.
