Funding your own Residential or Nursing Care Placement

The County Council can provide a full assessment of need for anyone who is considering a permanent placement in residential or nursing care, regardless of whether they may be intending to self fund.

An assessment will give advice about:-

Level of need and eligibility for services.
The registration category of the home(s) that would be suitable.
Funding arrangements.
Whether any alternative services would be appropriate.
