LINKs - Local Involvement Network

Leicestershire County Council is setting up a Local Involvement Network.
The aim of the Network (a LINk) is to make sure that people's views are an essential part of the planning process for services in Leicestershire and to give members of a LINk the opportunity to influence and monitor services.
By services we mean:
  • Health services provided by the Primary Care Trust, University Hospitals of Leicester Trust and Leicestershire Partnership Trust and ambulance services provided by the East Midlands Ambulance Service.
  • Services to adults who need support and care provided by the Adult Social Care Service of the County Council
  • Over time, the Network will be developed to play a role in the Children & Young People's Services provided by the County Council.
  • It will also have an opportunity to look at arrangements to deliver these services through other providers in the private and voluntary sector.
LINks are open to everyone : voluntary organisations, community-based groups, local business groups and, importantly, individual members of the public.
We want as many people as possible to take part in the new LINk and we would like you to be involved in planning how the Network will be set up and operate.
If you would like to be involved in the LINK then you can fill out an online form (Word doc) and send it back as explained on the form.
If you would like more information you can view the What is a LINK? PDF document.
