Cabinet

Role:
  • carries out the Council's executive role (exceptions are matters covered by regulatory bodies and powers delegated to Chief Officers)
  • meets in public to take decisions
  • advises the County Council on matters of major policy
  • leads on Best Value
  • is the focus for partnerships with other bodies
  • can refer business to the County Council
  • receives written submissions from local members
