County Council
Role:
- sets the Budget and the Capital Programme
- decides policies, objectives and priorities
- approves any changes in the above
- approves any changes to the Constitution
- appoints the Cabinet, Scrutiny Commission and all main bodies
- receives reports from the Cabinet and Scrutiny bodies
- questions from individual members of the County Council can be asked of the Cabinet and Chairmen of Boards and Committees
- deals with Notices of Motion - where members can raise issues for debate
