Partnership Bodies
Leicestershire County Council works in partnership with other public sector bodies and organisations both inside and outside the County area and under the umbrella of Leicestershire Together. Partners include local district and parish councils, the police, the health service, probation, the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership and the voluntary and community sector.
Through Leicestershire Together, the Council and its partners work together to improve our schools, colleges, businesses, shops, hospitals, roads, parks, homes, villages and towns and help make people in Leicestershire feel included, richer, safer, better trained, healthier and happier.
The County Council also works with other public sector organisations to improve efficiency within the public sector. The Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation (or “ESPO”) is one example, which brings the Council together with a number of other local authorities to provide a cost effective procurement and supply service.
The Leicestershire Rural Partnership comprises 19 diverse organisations who work together to improve the quality of life of those living and working in rural Leicestershire. It aims to deliver a better quality of service to rural areas and to use public money and other resources more effectively.
