About the Library

Market Harborough Library is the main library in the Harborough area.  The library is situated in the centre of the town in the old Symington Corset factory. It is a listed building.  Ramp at front of building.  Parking space available.  Library is all on one level with wide aisles.

Market Harborough Library can deliver Site-Centred, customised maps for your building planning applications. There is a charge for this service. Ask library staff for more details about this new service. You can use Siteplans for:

  • Home referencing
  • Presentations and reports
  • Property location plans

Ancestry Library Edition is available in this library free of charge to do family history research.  To use this service:
  • You need to be a member of Leicestershire Library Services
  • You need a library card and a PIN to book the computer. You can book a computer either by visiting your local library or online.
  • Visit the  Reference Library to access Ancestry Library Edition
If you are not a library member then visit your local library and ask a member of the library staff about joining the library.

Wriggly Readers Story and Rhyme Time.  0-4 years with parents or carers.  Every Tuesday from 10.00 to 10.30am and now also every Thursday from 10.00 to 10.30am.
