Urgent help with mental health

Phone 999 if you think you or someone else might be in danger.

For urgent help, please contact your GP/doctor (you'll need to register with one if you don't have one) or telephone the Mental Health Central Access Point on 0808 800 3302.

If your GP's surgery isn't open:

  • telephone the surgery - the answerphone message will tell you the number for the out-of-hours service which is available 6.30pm to 8am on weekdays and all day at weekends
  • telephone the NHS 111 service (available 24 hours a day) to find out what other help is available for a mental health crisis
  • go to the Leicester Royal Infirmary Urgent Care Centre
