Reduce what you use:

• Rechargeable batteries reduce waste and save money in the long term
• If possible use mains electricity

Can be recycled:

• At your local recycling and household waste site
• At local recycling banks or bring banks – use the recycling locator on Recyclenow to find your nearest
• At some supermarkets

Do not put in your general waste bin as they can cause fires. Batteries contain toxic and corrosive materials so should be recycled.

If you produce or distribute batteries you must be a member of the Battery Compliance Scheme.
