Your child may be able to get assistance (with school transport) to go to sixth form or college in the form of a fixed term grant.
Other transport options
School specials
There may be buses run by commercial bus operators to your child’s school or college. These are known as ‘school specials’. Ask the school or college for more information.
Public transport
Use the Choose How You Move journey planner to find out about public transport between your home and your child’s school or college.
You may be able to get a weekly, monthly or termly season ticket or other types of ticket discounts. Check with the bus company that runs the service. The journey planner results will tell you which bus company operates the route.
Bus and coach companies
These companies run buses and coaches to schools and colleges and may offer season or discounted tickets:
