After school and breakfast clubs

After school and breakfast clubs offer childcare for school-age children and young people before and after the school day. They’re sometimes called ‘out-of-school care’ or ‘kids clubs’. They may be run privately or by schools.

Ask your child’s school if they have before and after school care.

Search for out-of-school care in your area.

Some clubs also run holiday play schemes.

If your child has SEND, it may be possible for an out of school care provider to apply for additional funding to increase staffing levels or to pay for a resource (which is necessary for your child to be included in their setting).

Please speak to your out of school care provider if you think that this would benefit your child.

Paying for clubs

You usually have to pay for after school and breakfast clubs. You may be able to get help paying for childcare.
