Carers strategy review spring-summer 2021

The Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland (LLR) carers strategy is due for review and update. We want to hear your views.

This engagement runs from Tuesday 22 June - Tuesday 31 August 2021

The information you provide will be used to develop the LLR Carers Strategy 2022 – 2025, alongside further engagement, coproduced project work with carers, and local and national data.

This survey is about life before Covid-19 but we acknowledge that the past year has significantly impacted carers, with numbers of carers providing more care, supporting those with increasing needs, often unable to take a break wanting to protect themselves and the person they care for.

With that in mind we have provided a question on the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns to provide comment on the last year too.

Have your say

You can read the current LLR carers strategy and the strategy priorities with associated actions below:

Once the strategy has been developed there will be a period of formal consultation in early 2022 subject to Cabinet approval. This will ensure carers, local stakeholders, groups, and the public can comment on the strategy before it goes back to the council's Cabinet for final approval later in the year.
