Proposed changes to CareOnLine

This was a chance to have your say on proposed changes to CareOnLine, which offers training and technical support for people who need help to get online.

As part of the council's budget plans for the next four years we have identified some potential savings within the council’s CareOnLine service.

CareOnLine offers training and technical support, as well as some devices and software, to people who need help to get online.

This service costs more than £100,000 per year to run and supports around 350 people.

We are proposing to stop CareOnLine and use more cost effective ways of supporting people to get familiar with online services.

We will collate all the feedback we receive and prepare options for the council’s Cabinet to consider.

The final decision will be made by Cabinet later this year.
