Melton Carnegie Museum

Melton Carnegie Museum offers educational services for visitors and we invite schools and groups to contact us to plan a visit to the museum.

General admission to the museum is free

  • No entry charge for individuals visiting the museum
  • £2 fee per pupil for school workshops

The museum re-opened fully in late 2010 following a major renovation creating:

  • a state-of-the-art gallery
  • study area and community space for schools, volunteers and community groups

The museum features displays on:

  • local history
  • trades
  • foxhunting - the museum also has an extensive library of fox-hunting literature
  • rural life

Gifts and books related to the local area are available from the museum shop.

Educational services for visiting groups

  • Workshops are combined with a visit to the Museum galleries
  • All sessions are flexible and can be adapted
  • Sessions are £2 per pupil unless otherwise stated
