Libraries Week 2019

Leicestershire Libraries are joining a week-long national celebration of Libraries running from Monday 7 to Saturday 12 October.

Libraries Week celebrates all that the Library Service has to offer. This year, with a focus on celebrating libraries in a digital world, we'll be showcasing the digital resources and assistance available at Leicestershire Libraries to keep residents' digital skills up to date, offer an even larger selection of reading via ebooks, newspapers and magazines and even combat loneliness.

A programme of events and activities throughout the week will highlight the digital services on offer in Leicestershire Libraries, including family history taster sessions to coding and digital coffee mornings. .

With a wide range of special events planned, come along to your local library and find out more about our digital offer.

What's on at your local library?

Here's a taster of what's on at Leicestershire libraries during Libraries Week.

Please contact the library or check our What's On pages for more information about each event.

You can also find out more about our digital library this week at our regular Wriggly Readers sessions. Check your local library's page for dates/times.
